Overview of Laioutr’s composable checkout library and how it connects to your ecommerce backend and payment providers.
Laioutr Checkout
Laioutr Checkout is a composable checkout library designed to plug into your Laioutr storefront and Orchestr data layer. It gives you a full-featured checkout flow that you can configure and extend instead of building everything from scratch.
From a product perspective, Laioutr Checkout aims to provide:
- Works out of the box – Pre-integrated with supported ecommerce backends, or usable as a standalone library on top of any backend you connect via Orchestr.
- Flexible abstraction – A checkout domain model (cart, addresses, shipping, payments, discounts) that can handle complex business cases (multi-deliveries, address auto-correct, B2B/B2C specifics) while staying backend-agnostic.
- PSP-agnostic payments – An abstraction layer for payment service providers (PSPs) so you can integrate different gateways (or switch between them) without rewriting your frontend.
- Conversion-focused UX – Support for coupons, discount codes, gift cards, loyalty points and store credits, backed by UI patterns and a Figma kit to design a checkout that matches your brand.
This section of the docs will describe:
- Architecture – How the checkout library fits into Laioutr’s storefront, Studio and Orchestr.
- Backend integration – How to connect checkout to your ecommerce backend and PSPs.
- Configuration & extensibility – How to enable, configure and extend the checkout for your own business rules and edge cases.
