Marketplace
Overview
The Marketplace package is built for platform and marketplace business models where multiple vendors, sellers, or brands coexist within a single storefront. It extends the core Laioutr UI with components that handle the unique complexity of multi-vendor discovery, seller management, and diverse product offerings.
Where a traditional e-commerce experience focuses on a single catalog, the Marketplace package introduces the additional dimension of who sells what — giving buyers clarity and confidence while giving platform operators the tools to manage a growing ecosystem.
What to Expect
Vendor & Seller Profiles
Components for presenting vendor storefronts, seller profiles, and brand pages. Includes seller ratings, review summaries, shipping and return policies, and contact information — helping buyers evaluate and trust individual sellers.
Multi-Vendor Product Listings
Enhanced product listing components that surface seller information alongside product details. Supports multiple offers per product (different sellers, prices, conditions), offer comparison views, and seller-specific filtering and sorting.
Discovery & Navigation
Navigation patterns optimized for large, diverse catalogs with many categories and sellers. Includes faceted search with seller and marketplace-specific filters, category trees designed for deep hierarchies, and recommendation-driven discovery components.
Seller Comparison & Selection
Patterns for comparing offers from different sellers on the same product — including price, shipping, availability, and seller rating. Helps buyers make informed purchasing decisions in a multi-vendor context.
Marketplace-Specific Cart & Checkout
Cart and checkout components that handle multi-seller orders gracefully — grouping items by seller, showing per-seller shipping costs, and presenting split-shipment information clearly to the buyer.
Platform Trust & Quality
Components for displaying marketplace-level trust signals: verified seller badges, platform guarantees, buyer protection information, and dispute resolution flows.
Design Principles
All Marketplace components follow the same design system as the core Laioutr UI — using the same tokens, theming, and accessibility standards. They are built to be:
- Composable — Use them as standalone components or combine them into full page templates via Laioutr Studio.
- Themeable — All components respect the project's design tokens and can be styled to match any brand.
- Data-agnostic — Components work with Laioutr's canonical types and can be connected to any backend via the orchestr layer.
- Scalable — Designed to perform well with large numbers of vendors, products, and categories.
